oh that's soooo good ya'll talked him out of the short sale.

and i love the idea of the Freedom Farm, any overage would do alot of good there it seems.

*claps hands* I'm so excited for Dave and everyone. this is truly going to be a great Halloween.

He wasn't actually planning one (although someone apparently got off on a worry trail about the possibility) but he was planning on going to scout for new houses or apartments to rent, and we did not want him signing a lease anywhere because no.

I think donating the overage to Freedom Farm is perfect. But, really, I think Dave could use it as a buffer for next month's mortgage payment, if that was needed.

Yeah, we definitely don't want Dave falling behind again after all this. Maybe give him the money and tell him what we were thinking and he can pledge that amount to charity when he's more stable or somesuch?

I like this idea, because I'm all for donating to animals who need it, but also, we want Dave to be able to get back on his feet too. :)

I think that's a great idea! I just think it's so awesome that all of us who don't know Dave except for the posts in this community were able to help a guy keep his *home*. (And, as lee_rowan put it in her auction post, we do *not* need the banks picking up more land. So it's a total win situation.) :-)

Can't wait to hear a report about Dave's reaction after he's told. It's sort of like giving someone the perfect surprise birthday present.

I hope you're going to take video of this at the party. I can't wait until Dave knows. :3

We have multiple in-on-it people with either camera cell phones or handhelds with video capability.I've got 4 GB of video memory waiting to fill it up with Dave, and Lynn is gathering up site photos for y'all during the day on Saturday, as Dave will just assume she's preserving memories of the Last LSP.

This SO COOL!

I admit, I was worried about a possible rash action... didn't want to say anything and jinx it, but y'know, if you're taping all this, it will be better than any "reality" show.

Freedom Farm sounds wonderful, but knowing moneylenders... there might well be some extra fees.

And doesn't Paypal start taking an extra % off the top when you get over $1000 in a year? I had a nasty surprise with a royalty payment once, thanks to their fine print.

Here's to OVER THE TOP by tomorrow, so you can all focus on the party!

I don't think Paypal does so if it's a gift; I will ask omnisti, as his and s00j's paypal got over tenK last year.

Oh, we're going to do this. We're going to do it before midnight today, I can feel it.
