[This is nominally a video response, but all Tifa will be able to see is a white shape blurred by the water. Even his voice is hard to hear with all the rain.]

Those little blue bugs? They're everywhere, at the moment. So are Magikarps.

[Romano was soaked from head to toe but he didn't seem to mind how his hair was dripping wet or the muddy spots on his clothes. He was smiling and was much happier than he was the last time he was seen on the gear. The little boy was sitting by himself, under the protection of a store's canopy roof. He trembled each time the store's door opened, letting out a blast of cold air.]

I saw those things all over the city! They're like water spiders, Tifa. [He smiles widely, as if sharing information that no one else knew about.] And I have one of those too. [pointing at torchic] I... I could get one for you!

Hmm, I love the rain, don't get me wrong. [She grins]

But you shouldn't stay out there too long, you'll get sick. Make sure to change when you go inside and stay warm!

[Then she looks at her torchic and back at Romano. She smiles] Oh no, that's quite alright. I'm not sure if I want one or not.

I like the rain too. ...And puddles. B-But I don't care about puddles since it's not like I'm some little kid who runs around in the rain and jumps in puddles.

[He smiles and blushes. This was his chance to look cool in front of Tifa!] I won't get sick because of a little water.

[There goes his second chance to seem cool... his smile falters.] Oh. Uhm. ...What pokémon do you want?

Those blue skatey things are more bugs. Blegh.

Oh hey, Tif, where are you? Maybe I can help ya catch something....even if it's a weird water bug thing.

I'm at the 'center. Johnny got hurt a bit while we were training. But I'm not sure if I want one or not.

[ Marco's crouched on the back of a Venusaur, taking scant shelter from the rain under one of those massive petals and a woven net of vines that the Pokémon is holding above his head. ]

Those little guys are kinda cute, I guess. Not really my type, but I say go for it. Seems like the rain brought them out - [ he aims the 'Gear briefly at the inch or two of water on the ground, on top of which skate a handful of Surskits ] - so they might not be around for long.
