Finally, an update.

May 04, 2006 10:30

Oh man, I'm so glad my semester is over in 5 hours. I'm completely burnt out. I might even skip a final, because I'll have a B in the class either way, more or less. My grades have suffered as a direct result of working full time, and... that might be coming to an end as well ( Read more... )

hehe, golf.

you should add coming to the fourth of july party at larry gibson's house in WV. it's really huge and he has it every year. anyone who's involved in the mtr fight and all his friends and family and really anyone who wants to comes. he lives on the mountain that's surrounded by mtr (or one of them, i guess). i will be there. and everyone is invited. i will tell you more later, but save the days around july 4th if you want to come.

That sounds like a great time. My dad's birthday is on the 2nd though, so it might be hard for me to get out of town. Either way, tell me more later.

the other day in gender class this guy said something about 'apparently sexual harrassement is rampid in chipotle' and the way he said it reminded me of you, it really struck me cause not too many people say things in a reggiesque way

I don't know how I would say that in my own way (I sat here trying, honestly), but you'll be able to explain when you come down this summer, right? When is that happening?

hey,I'm applying for canidacy this semester too, you can get an excell document of the canidacy formual and it will calculate your score for you here, http://www.mtsu.edu/%7erecord/newcandidacy.html Good luck, it would be nice to know someone in the program that doesn't have a brown stripe dyed into their hair... that is if I get in too. oh well.

Yeah, my score isn't terrible, but I'm really nervous about it. Making us wait until the 12th is torture. I'm doing business (if I get in), what about you? Maybe we could share books and save ourselves a little money.

my scores pretty good,37ish, but I'm still doing P&T, so I'm not sure if thats even good enough so yeah. torture. I'm mainly doing stuff for my journalism minor next semester so that if I don't get in I can switch over to that pretty easliy. I'm all for book sharing if at all possible, but honestlyI doubt or scheduals will line up enough, but we'll see. We should have a get trashed and wait for the email night next friday.

37? Wow, I've got about a 30... I guess I'm screwed. I'll drink with you next Friday in preparation of my denial. Looks like I'll be taking college algebra again, if I ever want to work at starbucks or a record store for the rest of my life. A C is 'supposed' to be good enough, but that's what's killing my score.

I'm learning Spanish too. Buy books on tape.

Donde es la fiesta esta noche? savinggraces May 5 2006, 19:01:58 UTC
Lately, I've just been picking up a lot of words and phrases from the dishwashers at work. But, you know, making someone's burrito ("Arroz? Frijoles? etc.") doesn't equate to a real conversation. I think I might just watch a lot of univision and listen to la sabrosita, or scan ebay for books, on tape or not.

How's Brittney?

I've been listening to a lot of songs. Mostly Joan Baez's "Gracias a la Vida" album because it's a lot of Spanish traditionals from all over. Univision is good, but they talk really fast. With songs you get a lot of short phrases and things to get the ladies with.

Brittney's doing good. I talked to her yesterday and she had a cold. You always ask me that so you're obviously curious enough to call her. Dork.
