okay, so wait, you pay for 2 hours of parking and you can use those 2 hours WHENEVER you want? it's not like, you pay, and then two hours later no matter where you are your time is used up?
no, i wasn't paying for parking. i just parked on the road outside of his house and noticed the signs said "2 hour parking" etc etc. so i was under the assumption that if i was parked there for like an hour and a half, left for awhile, then came back later my "2 hours" would be reset so i can park for another two hours.
apparently that wasn't the case though. they really should specify on those signs how long you have to be gone before you can park there for 2 hours again though.
"He actually said that to me. Not everyone has a computer, so they can't list a website with the real parking rules. I told him not everyone has a phone either, so why do they list a phone number on the ticket to call to contest it? He didn't have an answer to that one."
I've actually heard it's pretty easy to get out of tickets on technicalities (something wasn't up to date, filled out wrong, etc), so the fact they they circled the wrong date will probably be a big help.
the mistake on the ticket is a sure thing. but even just with your story i'm pretty sure a judge would hafta side with you, since there was no way you could have known that the rules are different than on the sign. which is retarded in the first place

shitty things like that happen in cleveland all the time, I'm terrified of parking anywhere.
