Wow, intense revelation. I knew you wouldn't disappoint when it came to Bones' backstory. Nice development there. DEFINITELY want to see more about who tried to kill Jim, and how that's going to develop, too.

It's funny, I don't quite envision the attempt on Jim's life as a mystery plot within the story. It's more a random act of violence in defense of the status quo that's simply a part of the world these characters live in. And directed more against Leonard than Jim himself.

The story is different from what I'd assumed. What a tragic waste. Poor Leonard. And now he's got some knucklehead gunning for Jim. I'm betting it's the Patron of his first clinic patient.

I continue to be amazed at the complexity and reality of this world you've created.
