Hey Smash Academy! You may happen to notice a young, blonde headed boy traipsing around outside. For a child though, he seems fairly well armed: a sword, bow, boomerang, hammer and all kinds of other neat things ( Read more... )

Something is drawing on your map. It was lacking in trees.

"Aaah!"

Link jumped a bit, having not heard the creature approach, it was only drawing on his map though so no need to pump it full of arrows or whatever. It's still kinda weird. Can it even speak?

"Sorry, you startled me a bit...oh, I guess I was leaving out some of these trees around, thanks! I'm not really used to making my own maps yet."

What an excellent question. It ranked up there with "what is that thing" and "why are you still drawing trees on my map didn't you draw enough trees already." The answer to the latter was of course no. No it had not drawn enough trees yet. It nodded it's large, oniony head at what he was saying. It could tell that you were a map novice. See, you needed some more trees over here on top of the thing you have labeled... whatever it is you have written there it kind of looks like gobbleygook. You presumably meant to write "science."

Anyway. Science is getting some more trees.

"Wooow, it must be really cool to live in such a big place."

Well at least it understands him! Though hmm, it might not speak back. Wait what are you...No don't draw there, my beautiful letters, I spent so much time on them since I never went to school.

"Uh, could you not make too many trees? I do need this map to get back later. I don't want to get lost. Also that's a name you're drawing on."

Suddenly ANOTHER YOUNG BLONDE BOY, except wait... no... that appears to be a girl. She was also playing in the woods and sneaks up upon the other blonde, eyes bright with curiosity.

"Hey! Whater' you doing?"

WHOA a person oh hey they look like me.

"Oh hey! I'm just exploring. I came across these buildings while following this path I found in the woods. Do you know what they are? They're really big. Oh, also my name is Link."

This boy is also all the curious.

"Hi Link! My name's Samus." She peers over his map by standing on her tip-toes, and then glances at the buildings in mention. "I don't know that place but I play here all the time."

Now she is putting her arms behind her back and swaying on the balls of her heels. "They are really big. Are you scared?"

"That's a neat name! And nah, I'm not scared. I've fought a lot of monsters, and there don't seem to be any here anyways. There might be some inside but I'm not sure. It looks nice though."

Link looked back over at them and scribbled in the rest of a building.

"There we go!"

Oh.

Dee wasn't sure what to think about a boy cutting random bushes with a blade like that. Why was he doing that. That made no sense.

"Uh... hi."

What it makes perfect sense, how else are you supposed to get money? And magic.

"Oh, hi there!"

Link ceased his mowing of the lawn. And stared at this thing. It didn't even have a mouth, how is it talking. Can everyone here see into his mind. It seemed fairly cute and harmless though. But somewhat worried, maybe it wants something.

"Can I help you?"

I hope it doesn't want something, that rupee is going to vanish hnnnng

No, sense it does not make. EVER. Dee would rather collect fallen stars on the ground instead.

"Uh, I just wanted to know, like, what are you doing? I mean, it looks weird. I mean, not in a bad way, just... I dunno why you're doing that. I guess."

Dee was never very good with words.

Because that just makes all the sense. Stars on the ground? That seems rather dangerous. But uh, no one has ever really asked this before.

"Oh, sometimes I find neat things in tall grass or bushes, but they're hard to find without cutting the plants away. Also it's just a fun way to keep in practice! With my sword."

It is okay, they are small words, so it is all good. And Link isn't always the best either, whoops.
