That pretty much trumps my 'that guy' dreams, the twenty year ongoing saga of some average Joe with absolutely no connection to my life that I dream once every few months or so (that I can remember). He's graduated high school, dropped out of college, been married, had kids and is currently dealing with a mid-life crisis (in a very boring, non-confrontational way) and I have no idea what my subconscious is trying to work out with the narrative. But if he offed himself (he's that kind of guy), I expect I'd be horrified.
And the thought of your dream people sneaking into reality and living without you? Creepy, creepy thought.
In my early teens, I had a set of dreams where I was sure some dream-girl was just...studying me in various dreams and nightmares. Not really emotionally into being there, just in someone's dream, watching.
I got lucid once enough to ask her what she was doing there. She got a sour look and said not to worry, I wouldn't see her again.
Oddly, I think I saw The Young Master a couple weeks ago on the street near where he was living back in the day (and probably still lives, if he's not off married and doing the Proper Thing with himself, which seems unlikely).
If he's off married and doing the Proper Thing with himself, knowing him, he's likely doing the Improper thing with someone else. Last I heard, years and years ago, he was married, though.
If he's raising a family, he'll have had to move from where he was- if he's not, he may very well still be in that particular stretch of the city, and it may have been he I saw on the street, while riding the 22.
Dunno. It was very vivid, and very weird. It was very strange to get worked up and feel like you shouldn't get worked up someone died, because you didn't really know him, and then slowly have it dawn on you that they never really existed in the first place.
