choke is such a good book. i love palahniuk, anything by him is awesome. um, i love the great gatsby and the catcher in the rye but i'm sure you read those for school. i'm reading shopgirl by steve martin right now and that's pretty good.

i've been sucking at reading lately and i really need to get back into doing that more.

I read The Great Gatsby and I LOVED it. Catcher In The Rye I haven't read yet. I've heard it's so good, but I couldn't get into it when I started it for summer reading one year. :(

I was going to get the first three books but I didn't want to overdo it so I just got Sloppy Firsts but I have a feeling I'm going to love it and read the whole series in a flash. I'm almost done with The Delivery Man and then I'm reading Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys because it's a 14 day book as opposed to a 21 day book and THEN I promise to read Sloppy Firsts :)

I bet you'd really like The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebhold. It's about a girl who is killed and watches her famiy grieve. It's one the the best books I have read.

You should also try A Great and Terrible Beauty. I've just started it, and it's quite good so far.

And I also read Confessions of a Teenage Starlet by Lola Douglas.

:)

I started reading The Lovely Bones but stopped halfway because I had a school book to read. I just haven't picked it up again.

As for A Great and Terrible Beauty, it sounds too much like a fantasy book for me.

As for the last one, are you talking about True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet? Cause if so, that sounds REALLY good! I'm going to add it to my GoodReads list :)

OH and BTW, I just switched to a new book - I started reading Diary but couldn't get into his writing style. It was so annoying.

Haha, yes, True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet, shame on me for getting the name wrong seeing as the book is RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.

i would recommended anything by Chuck Palahniuk, but Choke and Rant are my favorite. I see you've read two John Green books, have you read Looking for Alaska? And an amazing book I just finished a few weeks ago is A Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.

I've read all of John Green's books. Are you a Nerdfighter?! Yes would be a wonderful answer, haha.

I shall look into this Margaret Atwood book. I haven't done much reading this year but I'm getting more into it. I started reading Choke but I could NOT get into it. It was so dull to me. I'm going to try again though.

Thank you for reading this! Haha.

A spot of bother, also by Mark Haddon is faaantastic!!
Also the lovely bones is really good...it's kind of in the same genre of time travellers wife..though i have a hard time classifying what that genre might be....slightly happy, slightly bittersweet emotion heavy novel of a very different/creative style/plot

I started The Lovely Bones during the eighth grade or so but I just never finished it. It's on my to-do list though! :)

I'm not quite enjoying The Time Traveler's Wife though, unfortunately.
