I just realized . . . oxygen is so scary.  It goes inside your body when you breathe and there's nothing you can do to stop it.  Except die.  And that's really, really, really scary.

You know what's really scary?  Needles, that's what.  Sewing needles, syringe needles, knitting needles. Q-tips are kind of scary.  I mean, they go inside your ear.

Instrumentals are just a wee bit scary. Just a bunch of music all thrown together, without any words to carry it along. You have no way of telling which way it's going. You have to be careful and listen. All this music, filling your ears. Where does music come from anyway?

It's scary sometimes how when you are really, really hungry and your stomach growls.  Why is it growling at me?

I didn't do anything, except not feed it.  It's so scary, because I can't get away from it, because my stomach is a part of me.  I'm scared it's going to get me.

Darkness is really scary.  Being in the dark outside at night is okay.  So is being in a room with the lights off.  But total darkness, like the kind when you close your eyes and all you can see is blackness and nothing else but blackness . . . that is something really scary.

I can hear a helicopter outside now and it sounds so close and so loud, like it might even land right in the parking lot.  Which doesn't sound all that scary in theory.  But still, it is.  Really, really scary.

Those dementors from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban are really scary.
