I am shocked -- shocked -- at how much it costs to dial England direct.

I'd been using OneSuite, a prepaid phone scheme, to call dougs, and it was working okay. The minutes drained away much faster when calling his mobile than his land line, but okay. The connection wasn't always the best quality...but now I'm never going to complain about that again

Norway -> England wasn't nearly as bad but I do remember the phone bills going up a lot...

Yes, large phone bills are just one of the long list of bad things about long-distance relationships. I hope this one won't stay long-distance much longer!
