New "Chemo" Therapy
So yesterday was a treatment day. I go every two weeks, but I only see a doc every four weeks. Lately it has been Melanie, a former chemo nurse turned physician's assistant, instead of Dr. S himself, which is actually a good thing. Today has been productive in that I finally sat down and learned how to turn vinylized music into mp3s. Which means I got to hear some old favorite songs that I hadn't heard in yonks. Mmmm. Lots of records still to convert, but a start has been made ( Read more... ) -

My boy is always far away,
But even farther is he today.
He hopped a train to gay Paree,
forgetting somehow to bring along me!
At least there is an excellent chance
it's work he's there for, and not romance.
And then when he returns, in time,

Once Upon a Mattress
I've got a new bed! It was delivered this afternoon, and mom has it all made up with new sheets and all. It's a queen size bed, which turns out to be only very slightly larger than my old double one but a bit higher off the ground ( Read more... ) -
Boo, am crap
I utterly failed to walk to work this morning, as planned. It's been a very long time since I did it, thanks to leg ulcers etc., but I need to get the ability back or I'll be in deep kim-chee when mom leaves.
Maybe I'll try to walk home this afternoon...
