Today is James Golloher's wake.  I feel so sorry for Kyle.  According to what I read in the papers James was airlifted to Sunnybrook where he died later on that afternoon.  I have no idea what Kyle is going through, but I do remember when my dad got into a head on car accident that almost took his life.  I remember seeing him in intensive care, ( Read more... )

I'm done all of my major projects and assignments for the year!  Yippee!  The last one I handed in this morning at 9:00 am.  Most excellent.  And after my three o'clock appointment I'll be done all of my psychology extra credit for the year too.  Things a wrapping up!  Just a bit worried about exams though...

I watched the news last night and there was a story about a documentary produced by a couple of Canadians that suggests that several ossuaries (bone boxes) found 30 years ago in Jerusalem contain the bones of Jesus Christ and of (gasp) his son.  It was an interesting clip, as they threw around words like "DNA evidence" and blah blah.  Fortunately, ( Read more... )

I've decided that as cheesy and as unlike me as it is, I'm going to give Bollywood a fair shake.  Lauren is home!!  I missed her and now that she's back I can bicker with her in peace.  She was smart and instead of introducing me to Bollywood by shoving me right into a movie, she showed me a sweet video of a dance scene and left me wanting more.  ( Read more... )

I got an 86 on my psychology midterm, which I'm very happy about.  The assignment dragged everyone's marks down, so now we're all just trying to build them back up.  The prof hasn't posted our Astronomy midterm yet, and it's only been a week so that's not really a big deal.  The psychology papers are marked by a computer, but the Astronomy papers, ( Read more... )

I had a very vivid and long dream last night that I rejoined the army.  Of course, it had elements of the ridiculous in it while it was going on, like almost all dreams do, but I believed it very sincerely.  This is strange, as I neither wish to rejoin nor do I regret leaving.  That said, I was enjoying it while I was there.  I don't know if dreams ( Read more... )

There is nothing so futile as the child's question of why. Why is a question that can never be satisfactorily answered. It's too bad that anyone even thought of the word why and the question that goes with it, because all why does is torture the human mind.
