My field instructor told me today that she and Jane (an emergency services therapist) noticed that I have great reflective listening skills, and that clients can really tell that I am listening to them. So I call my doctor today, hoping to find out about the results of my bloodwork (I had it done because I suspected I had some sort of hormonal imbalance), and find out that my hormones are fine, along with my thyroid, BUT... Ugh, less than two weeks until school starts. A lot of times I feel really unheard. Like I speak and others just speak right over me or it seems like they don't even acknowledge me. Tomorrow I will be in Paris for Bastille Day. That means seeing fireworks over the Eiffel Tower, with a bottle of wine in hand and nine amazing women around me. Life is amazing right now.

Next week I am visiting Stonehenge, Oxford University, and Salisbury.

My Grandma died today. Only about twenty minutes ago, actually. It was somewhat unexpected despite her old age (88 years). She's in Colorado right now and won't be home for a service until next week sometime.
