spent about 6 1/2 hours total at the hospital today. we read our first two books, the tale of peter rabbit and pooh goes visiting but spent most of the day just passed out sleeping with mummy snuggles. she's got the bili light blanket to help with the slight touch of jaundice so when it's under her wrapped in her blankie she looks like a freaky

What caused the jaundice? THe only thing I know is a blood type mismatch, but that's simply my ignorance; I'm sure there are lots of other things.

i think they said it was just that her liver was immature and couldn't filter out all the biliruebens? herself since she still had some from me in addition to her own. it was just a tiny bit the doctor said she could go up to 3 times the bilireubens she has now before they'd even start to worry. the light helps break them down so she can pee them out easier
