I miss Steve, but he is needed

Steve has been with Judy every day and seems to be helping. He's taking the kids to the park, helping with arrangements, helping Judy to make decisions. He is going to stay until Wednesday night. I really miss him. I am not sure if he's ever been gone from home for a full week without me. But he is needed there

Is there anything the funeral home can do to make Perry presentable enought that Judy could have some closure. There is a big part of her that needs to see to be sure.

Judy decided not to see the body. From what I heard from a cop friend, and Steve heard from a firefighter uncle, the body would have been in very bad shape - bloated, decomposing, and discoloured. They would not have been able to make it presentable. The coroner and funeral home also discouraged Judy looking. Perry had tattoos that helped the coroner to make positive identification so no friend or family member had to look.

One point that was made to Judy was that if she did look she could never un-look. She would always remember. She could never forget.
