I'm in Pullman with Walker. The surgeon and the oncologist both agreed that radiation was still necessary. I've been here a week now. We planned on coming over last Saturday but there was a big nasty storm coming in so we left on Friday instead. We made it here just fine. Steve flew home on Sunday night and he'll be back on Tuesday

Walker is back in the hospital. He started bleeding this afternoon and it turns out that he managed to pull out his stitches. Poor boy! That could explain why he has not been able to eat since Sunday. We figured he was healing and that we would give him time - but if his stitches were damaged that would make it very painful to eat

Walker has another cancer. This time it is in his lower jaw. Treatment options seem to be either to remove the lower jaw and place a feeding tube, or just to keep him comfortable. What a horrible, awful decision

Washington Mutual failed yesterday. That is the largest banking failure in US history. Its head office is here. Two of my friends from NTRC work there. They'll probably go through layoffs again
