Marcy and Jeff put their dog, Bailey, to sleep today.

I have known Bailey for almost all her life. She was 15. She was a good dog. We will miss her.

Walker seems to be doing better. He is peeing, and has not had a bad poop since last night - and during the day yesterday the bad poops got smaller and smaller. I slept in his room last night and he was very snuggly ( Read more... )

Walker has developed diarrhea over the last couple of days - starting on Monday night. He stopped eating too. Yesterday we went to the vet and he is not sure what is going on. Walker is eating better today, but since last night has had liquid poops every few hours. My poor boy ( Read more... )

Seven mice have been caught in the garage in the last few days, so today we took every single thing out of the garage, power washed it, sealed it up, and put everything back. It took 11 hours. We are tired and sore.

We'll see if this works!

We caught the mouse / mice early. No damage, very few droppings, no crawl space entry, they're probably coming in up the trees out front - we'll have to trim them back quite heavily. :-( Probably only have one or two mice. Not sure what's going to happen to the guy in the kitchen wall - we'll put traps in the attic to lure him up there and ( Read more... )

We thought the mouse situation was under control until last night. I heard someone gnawing through our bedroom heat vent. We banged on the vent but it kept coming back so I had to move to the spare bedroom. Steve was pulling an all-nighter, or nearly so - I think he went to bed at 3 and he says he did not hear the gnawing when he was in bed. ( Read more... )
