Was I that drunk?
It was lovely to see people out at Nightmare last night. I think I did a slightly better job of trying to talk to all the people I wanted to see than usual, which isn't saying a lot. A quick chat was better than no chat at all.

Vegan make up
So, I am making the transition to veganism. After 7 years of vegetarianism, I've realised it just doesn't cut it anymore - I've felt like a hypocrite for a while now because the principles I wanted to adhere to when choosing not to eat meat and fish were still not being accommodated. Hurrah! Today is my birthday and what a lovely sunny day. It's the first time since moving nto my new house that I've wanted to open the windows. Imagine my dismay on discovering I've squirreled away the window keys somewhere so safe I can't find them ( Read more... ) -

Tiny people
So, my brother and his girlfriend Jennifer are at the hospital and Jennifer is in labour. Being a disorganised sort I haven't yet bought a gift. I thought I'd go for an unusal/ comedy bit of baby clothing since I understand babies are very messy so need lots of clothes. Any other gift ideas welcome ( Read more... ) -
Cocktails! (Or a pint if you prefer...)
So, it's my birthday in 2 weeks. Consider this the early warning as it's been pointed out to me that as it's near the end of the month people are likely to be skint. Go on, put a tenner/£20 aside now! Sticking with my usual "if it's not broken, don't fix it" attitude I plan to repeat last year's celebration of cocktails at revolution in Hockley. Food
Any pub lunches planned for today?
I'm absolutely starving and I think only a large pub lunch will do. Although I really ought to stay in and research benefit fraud (woohoo, eh?).
