I, too, got Union-screwed in 2008. And yet I recognize their value. It's a weird thing.

Actually, the union helped un-screw me.

Well, really, they discovered that I was screwed twice as hard as I thought I had been, and only managed to unscrew me to about the degree that it was halfway mitigated... so in the end, I was still screwed, but I got what I had originally expected, at least.
