Amuse me

I need a muse.  I need a source of inspiration; something/someone to help me get my fat ass into gear and finish up the projects that I want to work on but can't seem to get motivated to do.

Wow for being an editor! eowyn_unquendor is a great one (at this moment I am waiting for her betaed version of my next chapter) but I have lost all confidence in my gift to help others with their writing, though with my former lover, I once managed to be really helpful. Guess it was because all in all, I loved his story, while with stories I would not read voluntarily, it is difficult. I turn from beta to teacher then, and this is not good.

For motivating you: My rather expensive way of motivating myself is to go to some cafe, order a cup of coffee (or café au lait), and then write while I drink. Important: Don't take anything to read with you.

But the real problem with me these days is that for reading and writing I neglect my chores.

Thanks! Doing beta was rather unexpected; it's not like I woke up one morning and decided that I wanted to edit other people's writing. *LOL* I was having a really difficult time editing my own writing, and really appreciated the help I got from nimblnymph. So when I saw this writer soliciting for a beta, I thought, 'why not?'. I liked her story and I thought by being a beta reader, I could improve on my own writing. There's also the aspect of paying it forward/ good karma, etc. Maybe the universe will smile upon me one of these days. (oh, wishful thinking)

I totally agree with the neglecting chores part. For me, I can't seem to go more than 5 minutes before the kids/husband interrupts me. I need to get out of the house by myself! ^_^
