I had planned a soapbox rant, but geez, with all the crap that's been happening in US politics, I just don't feel like adding to the rant and rave atmosphere that's percolating out there ~waves hand around vaguely~ at the moment. Soooo, the rant has been tabled for the moment, and instead I'll offer snippets of what I've been up to lately

I'm so sorry about Cody, and, while I'm generally not litigious, the vet that did this to him should be made to face the consequences. Not that winning will benefit you in any way that could make up for what's happened to Cody, but it'll hopefully prevent it from happening to anyone else.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean, and it's particularly frustrating since we feel as if we're caught between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand, we want something done. He's our pet (and we tend to treat our pets like our babies), and someone mutilated him to the point that he may not survive. On the other hand, the clinic does a lot of good for the community. They provide low cost vaccinations and spaying/neutering. Without their services, a lot of people would skip the vaccinations and allow their animals to breed indiscriminately. So we figure we could bankrupt them, but to what ultimate end? As I said, it's very frustrating. :(

I just feel rotten about poor Cody. I'm hoping that as he continues to heal and grow that his system will adjust and adapt to the scarring. As you say, you'll know more on Friday, so here's hoping for good news.
