good to know im not the only one that thinks that way about Eternal sunshine.
I smile whenever I see 2 girls kissing, cause I find it way to freaking adorable, much of the times the sex scenes, heterosexual ones, just dont do it for me, its like its missing something. They focus on making not cute at all.

I meant to comment on this entry when you first wrote it.

I talked to you about this though; I completely understand how you feel about the heterosexism in the movies, because you're lesbian. But, I'm heterosexual and the heterosexual sex scenes don't do it for me either. I'd rather the guy be with another guy. I still don't know why, because your wanting to see lesbian affection makes sense, but my wanting to see gay man affection is a different thing.

Maybe I'm like Madonna. Didn't she say she was a gay man trapped in a woman's body? =)

Then again, I wouldn't want to walk around with those things in my pants.

hahaha. Maybe you are like Madonna. You could just be a biologically-sexless gay man. Like a gay man without a penis? I don't know, this is a strange, under-developed thought.

Maybe it's just that we're really de-sensitized to what is supposed to depict love when heterosexuals are involved because sex sells. So if sex sells in everything when they're trying to show affection you don't see it because it's normally just overly sexual. But then it means something when two women are being affectionate or two men are being affectionate because it's not like you see them being only sexual all the time? I have no idea.
