Evolution vs. Adaptation anonymous May 4 2005, 16:24:50 UTC
I think we as a society need to be careful of how we use the word evolution. When someone says evolution the first thing that comes to mind is humans being the decendents of apes, which I believe is untrue. Many people don't realize that evolution also refers to the small adaptations species make as they learn to better survive and cope in their environment. This second type of evolution is a proven fact (many studies have been done on moths and their ability to change wing color to match the bark on trees). So I agree with your argument, but the word evolution needs to be substituted with adaptation, as to not confuse people.

Where was The Garden of Eden? anonymous May 10 2005, 16:55:14 UTC
Had to let you know that The Garden of Eden has been placed by historians in what is now modern day Iraq where the two rivers Tigris and Euphrates come together. Not really even close to Israel. Also, middle-easterners are considered to have an olive-skinned complexion, not white.

It is true that I make most of my facts up on the spot, however Israel is considered the promised land and nobody can be certain where it's location actually is.

I have also heard the olive-skinned complexion but my reference to middle-easterners being considered white is based firmly in facts, I was recently filling out an application for a school which told me Caucasian White included Middle-Eastern descent (also referred to as natural origin).
