i kind of wish i was a teenager in 1997. i'd be discovering all my favorite bands, and when i'd listen to them for the first time....it'd really be the first time. it'd be their first album, their first show. i'd be with these bands throughout the years, and i wouldn't have to witness their downfalls so soon. i wouldn't have to see the get up kids

as far as the radio airwaves are concerned. not much. if you want to find anything worthwhile you're going to have to look harder, though I'm not one to deny how much shit music is out there today. It's very depressing. But as far as the radio goes, it sucked then, it sucks now. they play the same smashing pumpkins, pearl jam,etc songs now that they did 10 years ago. just now the shitty stuff they play now is worse than 10 years ago.

well actually, thinking about it i take it back, somewhat. 1998 was badass, as this comic displays.

idk, i just remember listening to the radio ten years ago and actually enjoying it. now it's hard to listen to it without cringing at least a few times. it's just progressively going downhilll.

you also have to take into account ten years ago you were ten. shit sounds better when you're ten. I think radio has been going hill since the 80's. 80's was all right. 90's tolerable at best, 00's, why bother

no, it's not that stuff sounded better when i was ten BECAUSE i was ten. stuff sounded better when i was ten because it WAS BETTER when i was ten.
