Mum's cancer has returned. I read Mum's CT report, and there are multiple Metastases in the lower abdomen & pelvis. She has had a biopsy, of which we should get the results today. This is to see if it is the previous cancer returning, or if it is a new cancer. It is most likely that it is a reoccurrance of the old one, which responded to chemo ( Read more... )

Paid yesterday. Renewed my drivers license for 10 years, which cost me $295. On the up side, I won't need to renew it until I'm 50. I remember when I was 30 being happy that I wouldn't have to renew it until I was 40. Time flies ( Read more... )

Yesterday we went to the Schutzenfest which is put on by the South Australian German Club. The boys played on a bouncy castle, a kids roller coaster, and had great fun running through a mist tent (it sprays a mist of water to keep you cool in the heat). They even converted the money before sending it so that the boy's didn't lose out on conversion fees. Christmas is almost upon us & the bills are piling up. Lots to pay. I'll be finishing night duty Christmas mornin, so I'll come home see the kids unwrap their presents, & then get some sleep. Still on workcover (which I am not enjoying).

My annual leave for Taminick seems to have gotten ballsed up somehow. Taminick is October 2nd & 3rd, but I am rostered to work all that time with no annual leave shown.

This is a bit grim.

Diagnosis is bursitis with possibly tendonitis from pushing baruches, etc. So it looks like I'll be on workcover for a few weeks, as ED will not allow me to be on light duties.

I was started on Celebrex, an anti-inflammatory which has really helped. I've gone from not being able to move my L arm much, to a nearly normal range of movement. I am ( Read more... )
