Mardi Gras
Ridiculousness. Like one large block party, but times 1000 and throw in all day parades. At one point, we were literally surrounded by like 3 parades, and we couldn't find a way out to get to a place for lunch. Not to mention beads chucked at your head from all directions. For those unaware, I flew down to Ft. Lauderdale to catch some rays and escape Philly this weekend. Met up with some friends with Katie and headed to the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood Friday night. I don't like how if I google "schen86" it takes me immediately to my old (totally forgot about it) webshots page and this thing. That's too easy to find. Kinda scary. I just bought myself an iPod shuffle and waterproof headphone set for swimming. Figured the Shuffle (in a really pretty red color, which also helps with the whole "Red Campaign" on AIDS) would be good for both the gym and the pool. So I found a scale the other day. In my apartment. Must have been one of the various roommates I’ve had move in and out of my place. Stepped on it and realized that in the last 2 month, I’ve gained 20 lbs. So I’ve decided that I need to lose 30. The Winter
It's snowing. We pretty much had a blizzard today while I was at work. I fly tomorrow...back to GA...with the luck I've been having with travel (read: Argentina trip over Christmas) I'm seriously concerned I'm going to be stuck in Philly and unable to go to China. So I guess I'm 23. It’s funny, during the weeks leading up to my birthday, I was dreading it b/c 23 seemed like such an old number. Day 4 (El Calafate--Perito Moreno Glacier)
Climbed a Glacier today. Yup, a Glacier. The largest advancing glacier in the world to be exact. Took a bus ride some 80km out of El Calafate to get to Perito Moreno.
