Well, I think we covered on day 4 that I haven't read good books recently, so I'm going to go back to my childhood and talk about Dr. Seuss. I HATED Dr. Seuss books as a child, as I could not understand why someone would write these ridiculous books that didn't make any sense and didn't have interesting characters with whom one could identify. Funny, that's how I feel now about most of the books I read (might have something to do with the textbook thing). After a brief failed attempt at writing things that rhyme, I need to state publicly that I was wrong about those books and now realize their genius, and how much fun they are to read aloud. I credit the Speech class we had to take junior(?) year of high school, when I read a Dr. Seuss book for the first time in a decade, for this realization. I think my future children will have to suffer through recitations of Dr. Seuss just as I did...
