I have turned into such a lurker.
I'm finding the slow decline of the lj-comms really sad, because I haven't found anything that takes their place. Tumblr's fun, but not a great vehicle for discourse, ao3 is even worse and most of my fandoms seem to have moved away from lj-comms and forums completely.

I am well. Work is going well. I may or may not be eligible for a promotion in June.
I am occasionally getting out of the house for social activities (shock and horror).
I am saving up to buy a house.

At 9:00pm this evening, I'll be heading off to Brisbane Airport and jetsetting my way to London, as the start of five weeks of holidays in Europe!!
I'll have a week or so in London and the surrounds to begin with, and I intend to history geek my way around taking photographs of artefacts and architecture. I'll probably die of joy ( Read more... ) -

In other news, the day before my birthday, I came down with a cold.
Three days later, I have a severe upper respiratory tract infection and bronchitis.
