I went to WonderCon today! I have to admit I didn't do much besides hanging around the Girl Genius booth for like three hours basking in the atmosphere and acting sort of shy. But, I did talk to Phil, who is very nice, and he drew me a Jenka sketch!!!

It looks like he drew a smiley face, kinda like the ones on Zeetha's outfit.

Aha. But she doesn't have one in the comic, right?

I wonder if he just likes adding non-canon details to sketches for people. I remember the Maxim for Gen had a tattoo around his arm.

I think that it's just Phil having fun with adding little things to the sketch. Looks like the Jager symbol to me, personally.

Yay! Oh, it sounds like you had such fun! I really, really can't wait for SDCC and for Kumoricon now...

Definitely not the Jager symbol, close up. Pretty much looks like a spiral. I should've asked him.

Me too!! :D And now I sort of feel like if I'm going to hang out around the GG booth all day, I should at least have some sort of costume... Damn.

Ohh Wonder Con sounds like it was lots of fun. Was it a convention specifically geared towards steam punk? That is one cool sketch of Jenka there ^_^. Those sound like some neat costumes people had going. I'm so excited for SDCC and Kumoricon. Also, just wanted to let you know I added you to my friends list. *hugs*

No, I think it was a general comic-related convention. We had lots of superheroes, too. And the place was enormous!! I just posted some pictures, too - see new post.
