barret! my hot hunk of burnin musical passion... so glad you're alive and well. yeah, way to not say goodbye :( I'm really glad you have internet access though so it's not like you're completely... whatever you call it. busy=good. god I'm so jealous, you're gonna have an amazing summer. miss you already. knee's doing ok. I'm off painkillers, so it's been tough, but I'm getting a lot better. I never thought I'd be looking forward to a doctor's appointment though because I'm insanely itching to get the bandages taken off so I can itch!!! and tonight/this morning... has been a major episode of insomnia. tried to fall asleep for like... 4 hours and couldn't so now I'm up and I'm completely awake. woohoo. I should probably be emailing you huh... oh well. big long comment. I'm gonna jet, but have a good day! (what's the time difference btw?)

omg William Carlos Williams? I definitely did a poem of his for drama class:

This Is Just To Say
by William Carlos Williams

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast.

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold.

Oh man it was so fun (because we infused alot of emotion into it).

Goodluck with all your songs/poems!

That's the one I'm setting, along with "Young Woman at a Window," which goes like this:

She sits with
tears on

her cheek
her cheek on

her hand
the child

in her lap
his nose

pressed
to the glass

I'm glad you're having a good time in Berlin, with the language and music work and everything else! Amazing. Thanks for the update :)
