Julie, I'm so glad J's ok - and that you're all together. And I could get into Indian food as comfort food. My friend, M, once married to an Indian man, has forever spoiled us to restaurant Indian. Ah, well.
((HUGS)) to the whole family, and a welcome home to J.
Boy, you stay away from LJ for a couple weeks and all kinds of fun happens!
Good to hear that J came through that pretty smoothly. Just gotta remember not to make him laugh for a while ^_^ .
Some weekend you should make a trip to downtown Minneapolis and try the "Bombay Bistro". Food as good as my Aunt's old-school, true-tradition Indian mother made, and local! Also, A Taste Of India up on Hwy 36 (closest cross street is White Bear Ave) was pretty good too (though I haven't made it out there for several years :( )
I can relate to that. Comfort food at my house includes panang curry. :o)
And, congratulations, too. Because you obviously raised yourselves some very mature and thoughtful people for kids. I already knew they were good, decent, FUN kids. Now I see they're growing up into good, decent adults. And hopefully fun, too.
