As usual, a woman after my own heart.

PS--have you seen Celluloid Closet?
PPS--and Cat People?
PPPS--why are we not in the same city and therefore unable to have movie night? WHYYYYYY?

Heat. Diner scene. This, corny as it sounds, defined a very important lesson in my young life: it doesn't matter who's tougher; only who's tough.

Love Actually. The well-known "sign scene" leading up to it this moment is wicked great, but these last few seconds really bring it together for me. "Enough. Enough now.". Man, have I ever been there.

Last of the Mohicans, final part. Might be some of the best film making ever.

The point at 0:50 is really key. No words are exchanged. Everyone simply knows. They know that Duncan has earned mercy from his suffering, and it's understood that Uncas is going after Alice without another word after passing off the rifle to Hawkeye, simply acknowledged as the best shot.

It's part of "The Code". Again, an important lesson for me growing up.

A few of them show up on the page. They all show up in my email, though. Silly livejournal.
