Grumble.

Why does it have to be so difficult to find a journal theme that I really like? This is almost it, but not quite. I don't want to keep switching, but every time I think I found the one I'm going to stick with, I realise after a couple of days that no, it doesn't work for me.
I did find another that was almost exactly what I wanted, only the font ( Read more... )

failtastic, templating stuff

Aww, journal themes are tough. This is why I've stuck with the same theme ever since I first started my LJ. :) I kind of feel I'd like something prettier, but but I've always had the same one, so I might just be too shocked by the change.

Ooh, good luck with your exam! I am getting started on my first summer essay, about mysticism in medieval religion. Wheeee.

Yeah, and I have high demands, too! Clean and simple, a font just the right size, posting in just the right width, and preferably with the icon to the right. This is the one that's almost exactly what I want, but the font is too big. If it had been like this it would have been perfect.

Exam was, well, all right. The questions were a bit different from what I expected, though, so there was a bit of bullshitting going on!

Ehh, dang. It's amazing how things like that can be disturbing till you find the perfect one, though!

Yay bullshitting! I seriously bullshitted my way through almost all my exams this spring. \o/?

the Problem of Evil in British Literature'

Such a cool subject. Good luck! (If this is the one you were reading detective novels for, then that's awesome!)

It's definitely been a cool course! We've done Richard III, Paradise Lost, Oliver Twist, and yes, a bunch of detective stories. (I did actually surprise myself by enjoying Agatha Christie's Appointment With Death.)

It went kind of all right, I think. Only I couldn't get Ricky Gervais talking about the Bible out of my head when I was trying to write about Paradise Lost!

Look, what you've got to do is forget all your technological know-how. Then, once that's done, you attempt to get a new layout and fuck it up and try madly to fix it. Eventually you'll get a layout that's legible and after all that, legible is enough to keep you happy. Finally, you may want to utter the phrase "THANK CHRIST. I'M NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN!" and then you are done.

Ooh, that seems like a good plan! If I get the idea to switch again, I shall have to try it.
Legible is the most important thing. *nod*
