Jeepers, wish I was at home today... Hubby B has a "forced day off" as the company shuts down today for mass lay-offs.  Everyone has a 15 min time slot where they are to show up, security will escort them into the boardroom and they'll find out if they have a job or not moving forward

Oh my god- that's awful. What an awful thing to know for a week. What an awful reason to go to work. Just in general that is so AWFUL and CRUEL. Jeez. It feels so heartless.

B really DOES need to get out of there huh?

Well, good news for now - he's still employed! It's been steady layoffs for almost 2 years though and it's stressful to be accountable for sales that are non-existant.

He definitely needs out... but that begs so many bigger questions: What company? What city? When? It means a whole rearrangement to our lives and we just don't have enough answers yet to make those decisions.
