Mentor issues

I might have had an epiphany about my mentor and our relationship. See, she's a very social person. So am I. For the most part, we make small talk quite easily. I just have to remember that while I shop at Macy's, she shops at Neiman Marcus. So Walmart talk is not a go. But that's OK.

This sounds like the same issue I'm dealing with. We just need to remember that, first and foremost, we are where we are so we can learn. We're not expected to be experts yet, or we would have MD or PhD after our names.

Stopped by to see Meghan today. She seems happy to be back amongst the NIL crew. She also told me how to use my pager to get out of bad dates. I hadn't even thought of it.

Saw her at a Neuroscience seminar last Friday. She seemed happy to be back.
