Saturday Night - August 20th

[ It doesn't really feel like a happy hour.

Tonks sits alone at the bar. Her rose dress has been hit with a color-changing charm, it's blue now. Her brunette hair, which has too little red in it to be a proper shade of auburn, hangs down to her shoulders. Soon, she's going to have to find something different to wear. In the meantime, the dress suits her fine. What good is magic if you can't cast a daily cleaning charm?

Despite sitting alone, she does not give off the vibe that she'd rather be left alone. Tonks would welcome someone to talk to. ]

Nymphadora.

[ and shirley sits besides her. normally, she would be with a glass of brandy, but tonight, she has an appletini. she doesn't really like it, but desmond made it for her once. shirley misses him and his charm and the way he is so unfettered. she wants the best for him - knows so much better, though. ]

[ There's absolutely no point in correcting her about the use of her given name. ]

Wotcher Shirley.

[ Her drink is pink. She's not sure what it's called but it's served in a martini glass. It's tasty though! ]

What brings you to happy hour?

I enjoy a good drink. And yourself?

I just thought I'd get out for a bit.

[ nodding. ]

The Foxhole finds itself with interesting patrons -

[ she tilts her head, leaning toward tonks. ]

They are quite amusing to watch.

[ Tonks takes a sip of her drink. Truth be told, she's more of a social imbiber of alcohol. ]

Oh, yeah. Do you have any favorites?

[ shirley laughs, lightly, and shakes her head. ]

My favorites are not patrons.

[ they kind of live here! though they is more like "she," since desmond returned to his sorry life. ]

[ Tonks looks at Shirley. If she had been anyway else, she might've thought that Shirley was purposefully cultivating an air of mystery for herself. She's not, Shirley is just Shirley. ]

What are you drinking?

[ being vague is, like, the meaning of the name shirley. or something way more witty about that. ]

I believe it is called an apple martini. One of my favorites made it for me.

[wotchesyou]

[ Her favorite is the bartender? Interesting. ]

And apple martini? I think mine's called a cosmo, I'm not sure. I just asked for something pink.

[ Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. ]

[ shirley doesn't understand drinks being vibrant colors. bright pink and rich green and neon blue... it's weird! ]

It's alright. It's a bit fruitier than I'm used to. D'you like yours?

[ shrugs and offers her drink. TCH. mouth germs, who cares. (or knows about them, lmf.) ]

Oh, well, I like that more than mine. What did you call it? An apple martini? I like it.
