Today I joined the geocaching.com website.
I looked up my home address and did a "within 1 mile" search.
Me and the boys took our Trikke carving vehicles (tcv) (BRTRIKKE.COM) and headed down the road.
We found the 3 geocaching treasure boxes that we went looking for!
The tcv is already fun to ride, and geocaching just made it even more fun!

Just to give you an idea...........I search a 10 mile radius around your address and it gave 110 cache locations..........
But, Dad's address only gave 6 cashe locations..........

Yeah, somebody could go to the geocache and take it........not the nice thing to do......
If you go to a geocache and its not there, you are suppose to report it.
This way the owner can either take the webpost down, or replace the geocache, or put a new geocache in a new location.
Don't you have a GPS........I did a 70535 search, and found 1877 geocaches........
I will have to do some treasure hunting the next time I visit........

It just might surprise you at how fun it can be to do something like this....even if you don't have kids.
I found one last night at my job.
It was neat to think that a geocache was there all this time and nobody was the wiser........
Its free to join, so it might be fun to do several searches in your area......just to see what is listed......might find listings down your street, at your job, at your favorite hangout area........
And there is no rule that says the geocache has to have cheap toys in it.......
You never know what "treasure" you might find.......
I was reading on the website and they said that when you start a geocache you can put "treasure" in it......for example.......little toys, stickers, camera, keys to a new car..........
But seriously, I did read one post where a person found a 1 gig flash drive.........

Just a few pointers that I have learned ( ... )

Also, of course, they might be a little hard to find without a GPS, but you also have to consider that it might have been stolen or misplaced........
I usually read the comments that other people have place on the website in a listing.......to see if it was recently found.......
Because, if its been months since the last comment......the geocache might not be there anymore......
Even with a GPS, if you can't find it, you can always alert the owner.....and they can check to make sure if its still there or not and let you know.......

It fun!
I found one at my job.
Its been there for months and nobody was the wiser.....
Once you have your member name, let me know it.....this way when I make it to your area again, I could find some of the ones you have found.....
