Personality: Compared to most men in the strict and dangerous life of a mafia gangster, Bernardo is one of those men that is quite different. The first glance of his personality is actually very laid back, a gentleman that knows his duties and stand in the world. He is normally friendly, but he never someone you should cross at the same time. He is very serious on his job, being in the mafia lifestyle for quite a long time. Any threat to him or his "family" and he won't be afraid to use his abilities to make you regret it.
Bernardo is the oldest of the five executives of the Capo Regime 5 (CR-5) along with baring the 2nd highest ranking of the executives, just under Tonio Cavalli, the CR-5's Advisor. Between the rest of the executives, he is mostly the peace keeper between them. If two of them get in a fight, Gian and Ivan is one common example, normally he is the one to break them up. Along with his lax personality, Bernardo is a very shameless person. When it comes to flirting or just plain goofing off, he never has a problem with it. He can get very forward and playful, fearless on the words he uses since he always careful with them (or so he thinks). Of course, sometimes he ends up being teased endlessly by Gian and he just has to tease back to go along with him. However, on his serious side, Bernardo is the type of man to keep himself very busy. For spending most of his days in his office, doing countless paperwork and answering all seven telephones on his desk each and every day, work is never a problem for him. He is always doing something, never the person to sit around and do nothing all day. Bernardo has very high expectations on everything, from simple everyday items to work itself. A very picky person who only drinks certain brands and types of alcohol and smokes specific brands of cigarettes for a few examples. If it's not up to his standards, he won't use it. Another flaw of Bernardo is that he can also become very reckless, example of stealing a car during their prison escape and driving away like a madman. It's not something common that he would do, most likely just gaining a rush in the whole escape experience that it took Gian to snap him out of it. It should also be noted that Bernardo has an extreme discomfort with being in nearly to completely dark places. It wasn't clear on if this was an exact fear or just some effect from a traumatic experience, but Bernardo can get extremely paranoid and uncomfortable if he is in a dark room with little to no light or he cannot see anything. Childish as it sounds, he always sleeps with a dim light in the room. This is something he doesn't really let others share out, but finding out on their own in another story.
Bernardo is in charge of communications for the mafia, usually playing the role of the negotiator between both sides of the CR-5 and their rivals. He was the one who negotiated peace between the war between CR-5 and the gangster group Grave Digger (GD) that occurred two years ago. However, GD's betrays the peace contract and the executives of the CR-5 were captured and sent to jail. Bernardo actually has a "friend" that is a member of GD, both who talk to each other frequently for negotiations. The other executives do not improve of Bernardo having a relation with an enemy, but sometimes you do need to keep your enemies closer and he is always on his guard in the first place, believing that he will be fine. Bernardo is a manipulative man of connections, using money and persuasion to get things that he wants along with gaining benefits and relationships for the CR-5 as well. Again, he is the type to always keep himself busy in someway.
Bernardo's past was barely expressed besides for the fact that he had been in CR-5 for quite a long time, meeting Giancarlo Bourbon del Monte for the first time when he was in his young adult days. Even if they both gotten into some complications and arguments, Bernardo was one of the few people to treat him more than just some new kid. Bernardo's relationship with Gian is more closer than he holds with any of the other executives, their friendship being described as a "rotten bond". They are close and even if they seem to joke around and flirt with each other, they always put business in front of their personal feelings. Despite that, they also share pet names between each other, Bernardo being Gian's "Darling" while Gian is his "Honey". When his route is taken, Bernardo starts to open more towards Gian as the two work more together, but he still had doubts on what his true feelings were. He almost confessed to Gian after getting drunk for celebrating a grand success of the mafia gaining money from allies, but stopped himself in time. He did had a past relationship with a prostitute named Anna, but things did grew complicated between him and the woman that even she got caught in his mafia work. Gian told him to fix things with her, but he always brushed him off as it was only business between her and himself. He never confessed until he left a letter to Gian before GD kidnapped him after attempting to make peace on his own. In his letter, he tells Gian that he loves him and if he never returns, he wants Gian to take the money that he left him and just run away to save himself. On Bernardo's rescue and completion of the True Ending of his route, Bernardo and Gian's relationship became stronger than ever before, especially when Bernardo went on the edge of a bridge and recklessly screamed in the air that he loved Gian countless times, no matter how much Gian called him an idiot. Even outside of his route, Bernardo still remains a supportive colleague and friend to Gian. He will do anything to help his friend out, always there outside of his route to comfort and give Gian advice. No matter if they keep it at the friendship level or become lovers, the two are sure to always tease and help each other out, especially after Gian becomes the new boss of the CR-5. As with the others of the CR-5, Bernardo's relationships with them is mostly at a neutral level, if not his higher friendships go to Gian and Luchino. However, with Ivan, Bernardo always find himself going neck and neck at the foolish and naive idiot. It's not that he just hates him, but Ivan can get on his senior's nerves very easily. Bernardo still looks out for the rest of them, no matter if they annoy him to no end or do something stupid. Someone needs to keep the band together, right?
Even if he is a smooth gentleman, a busy body, an "old man pervert" that Gian teases to no end, he is still a good guy. Looks are always deceiving though since Bernardo isn't afraid to use someone for his own benefits. Still, he is a man that does what is right and best for him and his mafia family. He can either be your best friend or greatest rival, it all depends if you meet up to high expectations.

How unique. [Another unfamiliar voice on the network. It's been...at least an hour or so that he has been playing with his new "phone". The technology of it just completely blew him away, amazed on hearing various voices and seeing the faces of many strangers. A phone with no wires or hooked to anything.]
This little gift is lovely, keeps on amazing me to no end. [He couldn't help but to laugh. However, that happy mood can't last forever. This is absolutely a troublesome situation. Sounds crazy for wanting to go home when home is jail, but there are things that are bothering him.]
However, as flattering as this gift may be, I'm afraid that I must return back to where I was previously. Or maybe this is all some dream and I will just wake up any second now. [A dream...What an obvious idea, judging from some of the things that happened to him already. He will wake up at some point, back in his cold jail cell and in his uncomfortable bed.]
Who knows? Maybe I have finally gone mad at this age. [Another laugh. So many ideas, no information to narrow them down. That's what he does best, gaining information. Maybe some voice or face can help him out with his problems. His dear Honey cannot leave jail without his Darling and gain that position, can he?]

[If his face was shown, he would add a nice smile to that. Along with not figuring out just yet on how to do that, it's best that he should find new clothes instead of these prison rags so he won't get questioned. It shouldn't matter here, but you never know....]
"Zodionlogs" Third-Person Prose Entry:
How is this even possible?
Surely, he would know if someone moved him from that dreaded jail cell to a completely different location, especially somewhere outside of the jail. He cannot think of a true logical explanation and the lack of information so far makes it quite more difficult to understand anything. Various questions, all beginning with either "how", "why", or "where", just keep stacking up in his head. Not a single other prisoner or guard in sight around him. It all feels so surreal to him, still impossible on some points. Could be a dream, could be real, or it's all inside his head and he has finally broke down and lost his mind. However, his sanity feels the same, so he doesn't feel that he has gone crazy quite yet. Only thing to do is to investigate and the best place to start is that mysterious box, standing tall and proud on the altar that is a good distance from him. It's eerie glow makes it stand out, even in the broad daylight.
Bernardo should be stressed out with all of these complications, but he couldn't help to be relaxed. Surely, he has so much business to do back at home, but the warm air and the large space instead of being in a jail with little room is nice. Then again, there is a lot of work that still needs his attention, so it would be the best for him to find a way back as quick as possible. The deal for his dear Honey is to break out and bring back all four captains in order to become the next boss. Without Bernardo there, that cannot happen. Perhaps this place won't be too bad, but at least finding a telephone out of nowhere would be really helpful for him. It's time to figure out what answers lie inside the glowing box...
...As soon as he gets past the rising ring of water that shot up around him once he took that first step over the ring, that is. A quick pain shooting him in the waist didn't take his much of his attention away from the crystal clear reflection of himself in the water. A familiar symbol, perfectly inked and glowing right on the side of his naked body. It's meaning is mostly likely important, but he never really focused on this type of subject before. This just keeps getting more troublesome for him, the questions are piling up and still not enough to answer them.
It never means that he can't just gain his answers. With a flick of his wrist, he flips the box open after he was done observing himself and his new tattoo in the water ring's mirror, which is now back in it's normal state. A strange device with a glass screen and a letter that is neatly addressed to him. It is all so interesting to him, his curiosity just keeps growing as he reads over the letter word by word along with figuring out whatever could this device be or how does it work.
Then again, it's never too late to go back to the dream theory, is it? What a laugh he will have once he wakes up and everything goes back to normal. Although, things suddenly became a different story right as he figured out how the device turns on with just the right amount of fiddling. So many unfamiliar voices speaking and a lot of unfamiliar faces doing various activities. In his hands, as he believes, it is an amazing piece of technology that is more powerful than it looks. He couldn't help smiling, but for now, it's time to get to work.
