Good luck with the diet! Drinking a lot of water is always helpful, especially by comparison to drinking a lot of coke (I dunno if you still do, but yeah). Healthy food can also be quite tasty, so maybe look up recipes that you can use.
Aaand I don't know what the ankle/foot issue is, but I hope it's nothing too terrible. : /
