I started a painting class a week ago. The time goes by rather quickly when I'm putting the brush to the paper; a two hour class feels much shorter than two hours. So far we've worked with acrylic and watercolor paints. The later is harder to work with but so subtle and fun. I'm excited to explore this more.

I'm arranging a 4 part song for the cruise and I'm soooo into it. This normally happens - I'll be composing something and think, THIS IS BAD ASS! About 2/3 of the time it's not. But for that 1/3 (and I hope it's the case this time) I feel elated beyond belief when it's done.

So many exciting things are happening right now.

Being involved with the UPS theater is awesome - it's filling a void I didn't know existed.

Life is grand, but I feel a sense of urgency as well. I need to explore this more.

I woke up at 6:45 this morning to play piano for the Lutheran church in Puyallup. That's really early for me. Like...REALLY early. I half-heartedly apologize to anyone who has to wake up at 6:00 or 5:00 on a regular basis, but one of the reasons I am a musician is that rarely will I have to sing a note, play a key, or pluck a string before 9:00am ( Read more... )
