I saw a recent post on the Padded Cell about the rumored TF characters showing up in the upcoming movie. Until I hear something a little more official, I'm going to treat it as a rumor. That won't stop my little mini-rant about some of the more... interesting choices ( Read more... )

I'm disappointed by Devastator, because yeah, making him a tank and Bonecrusher a mine-clearer does make it highly unlikely that I'll see the Constructicons in the form that I know and love them.

I'm already thoroughly prepared to depise this new TF movie...so whatever they throw at me, I can only be either vindicated, which will please cynical me, or pleasantly surprised, which will please...well, the rest of me. :) I still wish they'd make Megatron a gun, though. I know it's not politically correct, but still...

And...Brawl as a police car? That's just all kinds of wrong. And I, too, don't understand why they can't just stick to the good ol' G1 storyline. But that's the diehard in my talking, I guess. :) Well, we'll see what happens come 2007, eh?

And so the wheel of adaptation turns again. Things are changed, for good or for ill, because they think it's better or because it will sell...

...damn, what?

Perhaps I might be the only Transformers fan on the planet who doesn't care about this movie. That's chiefly owing to the fact that it has pre-movie characters (not that I didn't expect anything else), but, well, the idea is six shades of wrong.

It could be good, but I doubt it. It's too big a leap from something designed to appeal to a small audience in the know, to a big budget, mainstream action flick. Things will get...deformed.

But what's all this fuss about live action, anyway? Eh? :P

Ahhh! Nothing to say intelligent about the movie, I'm afraid.

Except that GM will be getting a lot of product placement. Please tell me that there is no truth to the rumors that Bumblebee is going to be a Camaro. Because that would absolutely dumbfound me. Well, except for the fact that I could see GM offering it simply because they'd like to push it to mass market in 2009... they'd love to have a concept car like that in a big action blockbuster.

Me... I just don't think Bumblebee should be a Camaro. That's somehow utter sacriledge to my Oregonian based roots. ;)

Other than that - hello! Aw, I had no idea you were on LJ, so it's great to see you!
