I cried when I read this last night. I never had the chance to have a class with him, but I knew him through Gerri. He'd always came in daily to say hello and chat if it was quiet and he wasn't in a hurry, especially in the summer. Such a nice, incredibly intelligent man. A vibrant man. You were one of the brightest spots in his extraordinary career. One of my favorite photos is of you helping me and Dave at 5:30 a.m. in the dorms as we worked on a final paper for one of his classes -- I'm sure he smiled at seeing your "Hi from Meg!" embedded in the text. And I'm sure that you're honoring his memory with every student whose life you touch.
