House downtown?

I'm looking to rent a 2-4 bedroom house downtown, (Sandy Hill, between bank and bronson, guiges/st patrick area, etc), with rent being about $1200/month (more if 3 or 4 bedrooms is ok) for Nov 1st. A basement is a huge plus. Can you guys keep an eye out? How nice the place is isn't really an issue.. so long as it's clean... thx!

Yea, I want to be able to have people over with out neighbours bitching and right now we're four people in that apt...

I was going to mimic karolijns words until I saw what you replied with "we're four people in that apt". Wha?!

Forget the Whos and Whys and focus more on the Hows! goodness thats tight. Is that also with the cats?

I have two living room type things and so one is my roomates room (also a couple) and Danny and I have the bedroom... it's not that bad actually, I like them all a lot and we get along... but we DO need more space for the long term hence the house :)

is your apartment a 1 or 2 bedroom? (i forget) if its a two, how much is rent?
was browsing craigslist and didn't see anything that fit your criteria

1 bedroom, 785/month. Its big though, and you can turn the main living room into a bedroom pretty easily... thats what we're doing now. The neighbours are super quiet. We're moving Nov 1st. I can try to give you my place if you want? Maybe they'll even let you take over my month to month lease... (it was a year originally)

we found an AMAZING house that takes us 8 minutes by car or 15 minutes by bus MAX to get downtown from [if you come to our housewarming you'll see]...so if you're still looking maybe message twiin since he has done LOTS of research not that long ago in to some really great houses and groups renting them...we needed a bit more space than you [we ended up with a 5 bedroom house with a 1 bedroom apartment attached that we rent to our friend dharmasatya] so there were LOTS of places, groups and individuals whose information he collected who were renting some great places, often ones just a little too small for us but that may be really good for you...anyhow, he may be able to help :)
