i liked it for awhile, for sure. but then i got bored and tired. also, it was awkward trying to share the computer and deal with the right naming conventions and stuff. you're much more tolerant of other people than i am.
[TK, from Stefan's account - too lazy to sign out, sign in). Hi Kate: I will be at Can-Am too since Stefan will be playing. I like doing color. It's the annotating of games that I find incredibly boring and hard. I did a few games when the Can-Am was held in Dallas, and I couldn't believe how tedious it felt.
it sounds like we'll have a nice contingency of non-players in jersey. excellent! i'll probably stay at my house and commute the hour since it doesn't matter if i show up right on time unless we all dogpile into a cheap room... y'all are welcome to stay with me.
What about trying a different strategy, encouraging players to post/tweet and then figuring out a way to collect all those posts onto a NASPA page, to make it easy for viewers?
that would also be fine. the hashtags are working okay, but it'd be good if they fed into something more easily accessible for people not on twitter, i guess.
Oh, that's what I meant. Figure out a way to have the players who are interested in blogging "register" with the NASPA page, somehow, and then automatically what they post on Twitter with the right hashtag will show up on the NASPA page.
It would be fantastic to have some of you come to the Can-Am to provide colour. John Chew won't be attending, so those who come will have to help put together the web coverage, connections, etc. I'm sure John would be available for techical assistance. Here's a thought - Robin's son Reese was experimenting with live streaming of games from their house - how cool would it be to have a live streamed Can-Am, perhaps with ongoing commentary?
i'll definitely be there. i think i can con my husband into coming, and he knows tsh as well as other useful stuff. i'm almost sure jason keller is coming, and it sounds like terry is. i'd be happy to annotate or do commentary or tweet or whatever else.
I also felt a lack of mental energy to play, even though my life hasn't been nearly as stressful as yours. It's hard to stay sharp when you don't have someone to play with regularly. I'm also forgetting a lot more words than I used to, so it's just as well that I stayed home.
Vegas sounds much more attractive to me. I actually found out about a month from Jan but assumed it was a secret until earlier this week.
