Yuck, what a pain! I'm always so envious of those pristine new houses (compared to our older simpler house) as it seems like everything is so new and perfect. Well I guess looks can be deceiving. Good luck:(

No reason to be envious at all Anissa, they are built so badly. What Christine mentioned is really the tip of the iceberg. We Just replaced the dishwasher that came with the house and the disposal. We've had work done on the heater (installation wiring problem), the garage roof leaked and we had to talk to the president of the company in person to get them to fix that. Plumbing under the sink that christine mentioned, some plumbing downstairs that leaked and damaged the ceiling in the family room, the flashing around the front door leaks so the entry way fills with standing water when there is a good rain, same with the front window....alot of smaller stuff too.

We have been beside ourselves, we could have bought an older home for much less, and with lower taxes.

i have a few projects for the spring: replace 2 windows in the basement, put in the deck, baby room, basement refresh, some new electrical circuits (one especially for our new freezer that is on the same circuit as the laundry room lights). that should all be before summer. fun.
