I was just at the Fillmore to see Built to Spill. It started off not so great; rarely do I attend concerts alone, and I was way up at the front, standing in one spot for a long time. oh, hai! wish i'd known you were there - we were about three rows of people back stage right. i totally loved the show, including third uncle, though it was the first time i've ever seen BTS. i didn't recognize most of the songs but loved it just the same. meat puppets were awesome too. they were my favorite band at one point in my life many years ago. i'm glad kris curtwood kicked his heroin addiction so they could come back and make music again. he was very entertaining to watch tonight.

Meat Puppets? Jesus. I haven't even thought that name in about twelve years.

and dude... how has everyone forgotten about the meat puppets? they seriously beefed up (haha) nirvana's 'unplugged' endeavor. was that really so long ago?

Well that was about 15 years ago now, but yes they seriously beefed up Nirvana's excellent unplugged work.

the meat puppets were my favorite band at one point. i still listen to them now.

last night i wondered how many folks in the audience thought "lake of fire" was a nirvana song.
