Looks like I got my wish. My long-suffering grandmother died due to sudden pneumonia. I went to Illinois this week for her funeral and have lately returned. It went ok, better than I feared. My attendance helped my dad feel better, which was good

In an odd twist of cosmic coincidence, I am right now in Tampa, FL, where I flew for my own grandmother's funeral. She too finally went after years of being infirmed and bedridden. The ceremony was earlier today, actually. In fact, we spread her ashes just tonight.

*hugs* Vanessa. I had a similar experience, taking photos at my grandmother's funeral and not posting them. I have looked through them since but yeah certain ones are just for me.
