I don't think he's espousing (hm - pun intended?) making a Marriage Protection Amendment like that, it's more of a Modest Proposal showing that the supposed goals of the MPA are bogus and transparent. If what they _really_ want is to "protect marriage", make a law to make it indissoluble, yeah, that'll help...
