SH update: TMI
He's done and on the way to recovery. The electophysiologist/cardiologist is hopeful and insists there's nothing more to be done if he winds up back in afib. Naturally, I'm less than sanguine but I, too, am hopeful. He ablated all around the pulmonary veins so they are completely isolated now, checked and re-ablated the flutter pathway on the right ( Read more... ) -

Thursday morning and I'm spending yet another day in the OSU Ross Heart Hospital waiting room as ScrubsHub has his fourth (count 'em) EPS procedure to attempt to ablate his atrial fibrillation. I think I'm in love
I made my weekly (twice-weekly, daily...) trip to Target today and found a Roomba marked down to $60. It's not one of the fancy ones, just a basic, two-room's worth model, but still: 50% off is nothing to sneeze at. Glee and WTF?
I was between cases at noon, waiting for preop to get my patient ready, and ducked into the lounge to watch some of the inauguration. Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, and a clarinetist and a pianist I didn't recognize were making beautiful music in the freezing temps.
