I think this whole thing has been a bit silly.
Presumably the firemen were worried about being sexually harrassed because they have such a butch job and everybody secretly fantasises about firemen (aye right, in their swollen heads maybe).

In which case why didnt they go and hand out the leaflets and if their worst fears were confirmed, then they could stop - claiming sexual harrassment.

Had this been the course of action, would there be such a brou-ha-ha? I somehow doubt it.

It is very silly indeed!! I wonder if they would have refused to hand out leaflets at a hen party or the likes?
